KITcube logo

KITcube is the integrated atmospheric observation system of the Institute of Meteorology and Climate Research Troposphere Research at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

KITcube observes atmospheric processes from the micro to the meso scale, that is from a few meters up to about 100 kilometers. A high temporal and spatial resolution is achieved through the synergistic combination of modern remote sensing techniques with conventional in situ measurements. The main research focus is on boundary layer processes, convection, and atmospheric transport processes, particularly in complex terrain.
